In 2007, we’ve hit the pavement running! Our membership is growing and the changes are occurring within our industry at an amazing pace – from technology, equipment, and talents to various projects and design innovations. We continue to focus on educating architects and builders, the value of AWI membership, and certification.
Our annual golf outing is quickly approaching on July 13th at Legendary Run Golf Course in Cincinnati, Ohio. If you haven’t attended before, it’s a great way to develop new friendships and business relationships. Be sure to mark your calendar.
We also have a "Train the Trainer" Power Presentations Workshop on August 23rd and 24th in Indianapolis with a presentation by Greg Heuer from AWI National.
The National AWI Meeting & Convention is right in our back yard this year from October 4 - 6 in Louisville, KY.
In 1981, a small building materials company and mill was purchased by Douglas Chisholm Sr. and Chisholm Architectural Millwork was born. In 1981, the 6,000 square foot mill contained a pre-WWII moulder, planer, and bandsaw with 6 employees on the payroll.
Twenty-six years later, Chisholm Architectural Millwork looks quite different. With continuous and steady growth, Chisholm continues to service both the commercial building material and commercial millwork markets.

Fremont Interiors and the Indiana Governor's Residence Renovation
Built in 1928, the Governor’s Residence has a unique place in Indiana’s history. It has served as a home for five Governors of the State of Indiana while hosting many meetings and receptions for some of Indiana’s leading businesses and organizations. However, due to its age the Governor’s Residence needed to be renovated and updated. Many contractors, in true Hoosier fashion generously donated time and expertise to do the much needed updates, saving taxpayers millions of dollars in the process. AWI-Ohio Valley Chapter’s own Fremont Interiors was instrumental in the main and guest house kitchen renovations.
The Residential Kitchen
The design concept of this kitchen combines the timeless elegance of the late 1920s English Tudor style, as well as the function and amenities of today’s homes. The style is elegant and stately with English influences and 1920s Hoosier flare. The cabinetry is constructed of cherry and wields a medium, rich stain.

Many times when people discover we design and create websites, they immediately ask, "Can you build a website for my company and how much will it cost?" That's no different than asking a homebuilder, "Can you build a house for me and how much will it cost?" Before building any home, a builder will need architectural blueprints defining your exact needs and preferences. Do you want a one or two story house? Do you want a basement or a screened in porch? How many rooms will be in your new home? Are there any special electric or cable needs to accommodate an "in-home" office? How much land do you want to build on? How much square footage do you need? The list goes on and on and on.
