Chisholm Architectural Millwork

Riverside Construction Services, Inc.

In 1981, a small building materials company and mill was purchased by Douglas Chisholm Sr. and Chisholm Architectural Millwork was born. In 1981, the 6,000 square foot mill contained a pre-WWII moulder, planer, and bandsaw with 6 employees on the payroll.

Twenty-six years later, Chisholm Architectural Millwork looks quite different. With continuous and steady growth, Chisholm continues to service both the commercial building material and commercial millwork markets.

Family-owned and operated, both 1st and 2nd generations are dedicated to the company’s growth and prosperity. Doug Chisholm, Sr. is actively involved in day-to-day operations as well as handling select building material and millwork accounts. Doug Chisholm, Jr., the oldest son, handles the majority of millwork estimating, acts as sales manager, and oversees the project management team. Mike Chisholm, the youngest son, runs shop production, finishing, and oversees engineering.

In 2000, Chisholm moved into a new 85,000 square foot facility that greatly increased their millwork capacity, gaining much needed space for production, finish, office, and general warehouse space. In addition, Chisholm Architectural Millwork has capitalized on the space by adding a second machining center, rear load panel saw, and increasing their finishing capacity.

Doug Chisholm notes, “We are one of the few shops in the area that can still produce all facets of millwork projects in-house.”

Chisholm also has a finishing department capable of handling one off custom pieces to production finishing on an automated spray line. Chisholm Architectural Millwork has made its mark in the industry by providing outstanding service and superior quality, evidenced by 20 plus year relationships with many of their customers.

Recent projects include Lucas Oil Stadium (the future home of the World Champion Indianapolis Colts for you Bengals and Bears fans!) and Clarion Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Chisholm, Jr. states, “we have been able to capitalize on the new equipment and increased production. We are actively pursuing larger projects while keeping a good mix of small to medium size projects.”

Chisholm Architectural Millwork produces a broad range of products from standard commercial millwork packages, mouldings, custom skids, furniture pieces, production casework for the POP industry, cut to size, and CNC components.
