With much support from current clients and following previous expansions into Illinois and North Carolina, L’Acquis Consulting Engineers extended their regional growth into Kentucky on January 18, 2010.

The company announces the acquisition of LSE Engineering Inc., a leading mechanical and electrical design firm located in Louisville, Kentucky. Kenneth Peet, PE is a Mechanical Engineer and the previous owner of LSE. The two firms met after working together on projects for mutual clients. With current clients already in the area, the acquisition was a natural fit for Indianapolis-based L’Acquis.

“The acquisition will enhance our commitment to provide quality professional services to all of our clients,” Lisa G. Jeff, President of L’Acquis Consulting Engineers, said.

LSE has offered exceptional engineering service for 52 years. Past projects include work at Baptist Hospital East, Jefferson County Public Schools and the University of Louisville. They also have current projects in Kentucky, Southern Indiana, Tennessee and Ohio.

L’Acquis is known for its’ creative approach and design emphasis on energy efficiency. Engineers and designers in the 35-person Indianapolis office carefully integrate building systems with the architecture.

L’Acquis’ existing portfolio of projects includes Indianapolis hotspots such as Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis), the new Indianapolis International Airport and the Regional Performing Arts Center (Carmel, IN). They have also worked with many repeat clients in the higher education market, including Purdue University, DePauw University, University of Notre Dame and Ball State University.

L’Acquis welcomes LSE’s ten staff members, which includes electrical and mechanical engineers as well as CAD experts and other key personnel. “We embrace the talented staff in the Louisville office and we’re excited about the opportunity to grow,” Jeff said.
