| Everyone needs a master plan.

| Even the big James Bond villains had them (Of course, I hope your goals don’t involve world destruction and domination).

| What does all this have to do with business? Similar to Bond villains, your business needs a master plan as well, a master marketing plan to be precise. First let’s define what a marketing plan is and is not. A marketing plan is NOT the same thing as a business plan. It is an integral part of an overall business plan but the two terms should not be used interchangeably.

| What makes a marketing plan different from a business plan is its’ focus. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, “Marketing is the process of creating customers, and customers are the lifeblood of your business.” In other words, a marketing plan focuses on what tactics and strategy your business will use to garner additional customers through tools such as advertising that increases brand awareness to not only more individuals but also the right individuals such as a target audience.
