| By 2011 every company should know that having a website is essential to business. Without it, you’re dead in the water. But simply creating a website and letting it lie there like a dead fish, isn’t enough anymore. It must also rank high on search engine lists. In today’s era of instantaneous digital exchange, 85 percent of 18-24 year olds and 67 percent of those 65 years and older, use internet searches as their primary resource for finding information. “No matter the age of your business clientele, search engines are the primary resource used to find your business,” according to the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO). This means your business cannot afford to be anywhere but on the top of search engine lists.
