Quarterly Training Workshop Held
Our last quarterly workshop was held on July 20, 2007 with over 30 attendees. This quarter’s focus was on fire protection system impairments with review and discussion on the Indiana Fire Code requirements for impairments.
An “accidental” sprinkler system activation was simulated in the FlashPoint Training Center where participants were able to get their hands on the fire alarm and sprinkler systems to review the sequence of operations for shutting them down and review the code requirements to follow for emergency sprinkler system impairments.
Based on the positive response from the April workshop, Jeff Lukemeyer from Peerless Pump was with us again to discuss fire pump selection methods and principles and to demonstrate what is involved with an annual fire pump test through a live demonstration conducted during the workshop.
FlashPoint 100 Series courses and workshops are typically 2-3 hours in length and are provided at little to no cost. Attendance is restricted to USAutomatic Sprinker clientele and/or invited guests.
